SHALER POOL PARTY INFORMATION

*Enter the back doors or the last set of doors on the side underneath the canopy awning.

RULES:

· No running on the pool deck.

· No diving unless you are at the deep side of the flag poles by the office and men’s locker room.

· Children may have water wings or life jackets, but an adult MUST be in the water with the child.

· Squishy balls and kickboards are allowed. However, no footballs (hard throwing objects) allowed.

· Kickboards are available for use but are not to be used as floatation devices.

· The lifeguards and supervisor are there for your safety & should always be obeyed.

· There will be 2 lanes available but only used by patron's lap swimming.

· The starting blocks are not allowed to be used.

We will have cafeteria tables set up in the hallway for the pool party. One table usually fits around 16-20 kids. Just let us know how many tables you will need.

· All food must remain out in the hallway. We will have garbage cans in the hallway. Please throw away your trash and you can leave the pizza or cake boxes beside the garbage can. You can leave the trash in the hallway, and we will take care of the rest.

· You can put tablecloths, balloons or decorate how you would like. We ask that you do not put tape on the walls.

· The district asks us to keep the party kids in the party hallway. Please do not travel into other hallways.

· The rate (both child & adult) is prorated for parties to $4 per person. This is the only cost that you will have. You can pay at the end of the party with a check payable to ‘Shaler Area School District’.

· This is not a private pool party, there will be other swimmers in the pool at the same time AND possibly another party at the same time (depending on the number of people per party).

· I would like to know as soon as possible how many people will be attending the party in order to schedule an extra lifeguard (at least one week's notice).

· Recreational swim is:

- Fridays 7:15 – 8 (eat in the hallway) and then 8:00 – 9:15 (swim)

- Saturdays 1-2 (swim) and then 2 – 2:45 (eat in the hallway) - We end Saturdays Feb 24th. We may add more dates on later.

- Sundays from 12:30pm – 1:40 (swim) & 1:40 – 2:30 (eat in the hallway).

*****Reminder: If school is closed for any reason (snow, etc), the pool is closed. Also, if there is a pool malfunction, the party will be canceled.

You must exit the building no later than 9:35pm Fridays, 3:00 Saturdays & 2:35pm (Sundays) due to our permit.

Prior to having the pool party, please reply to this email with the number of kids you plan on having, that you have read this attachment & how many tables you will need.
